Road to Graduation: 1/03/2025

To all who have followed me up until now after my hiatus from weekly blogging, I appreciate and value your patience for eagerly awaiting any new content from me. 

This will hopefully be the first installment of what will be a semi-consistent newsletter, on top of any non-news blog ideas I may have. 

I short, there are many updates regarding my writing life and onward. First and foremost, I have begun study in Theatre, Dance, Music and Writing at University! The degree will carry me on for three years, and I’m nothing short of excited for what these days will bring me. 

Secondly, in regards to my writing and my yet-to-be-published novel, I have collaborated with an amazing New Zealand crowdfunding website to help gather funds to finally self-publish! Details on when and how to contribute will be coming soon.

Finally, I’ll be tracking my progress on the things I’ll be learning and doing during my study, as a form of self-reflection. A practice that is imperative to strive in the performing arts.

This first week presented me with a handful of lectures, breaking down how to captivate and persuade our potential readers through our writing, collaborating with fellow actors and how to use the tools available to tell a story on stage, and developing rigorous and methodical practice with a focus in mind while strengthening our singing voices for the year ahead.

Shaking the stress and pressure away each week on the dance floor has been a thrilling experience, as dance in particular is new to me. I have already met and gotten along with so many fantastic people and the student life here is so rich and nourishing that the support and encouragement to succeed here will carry many of us to new heights. 

More details to come in the future, but this will be a mere taste of what to expect from these newsletters from here on out!
